Learning Associates, Inc. was founded in 1978 to provide innovative,
quality educational services and materials to a nation-wide
audience seeking knowledge and skills improvement. Reflecting
the diverse expertise of its two principals, Northwest Learning
Associates focuses on
two very different and distinct areas.
The first is in the area of high-speed data storage interfaces, such as Fibre Channel and ESCON, and storage networking for information processing systems. The Fibre Channel Consultant series of books is recognized throughout the industry as the leading source of reference materials about Fibre Channel technology. Working in conjunction with leading training providers, Northwest Learning Associates (through its Connectivity Solutions division) has developed the most widely used Fibre Channel
training programs in the industry.
The second dimension of Northwest Learning Associates focuses on personal development and interpersonal dynamics. This reflects the expertise of company founder, Julie A. Kembel, whose mission is to provide counseling, coaching services, training programs, and education materials to
individuals as well as professionals and their clients. The most recent example of this activity is the development of an interpersonal assessment program called "ROLE play: Personalities in Action". This program forms the basis for a wide range of workshops and individual coaching sessions to help people understand and enhance their communication and relationship skills in family, social, professional environments.
The mission of Northwest Learning Associates, Inc. is to provide the highest-quality one-on-one services, training programs, and education materials for personal and professional development.
